Kelli Charlton — Professional E-Portfolio

Kelli Charlton – English Education

Anticipated Graduation – May 2012.

I have a paraphrased quote near my desk from Marianne Wiliamson that serves as my daily inspiration.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

We ask ourselves:

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us

And

As we let our own light shine,

We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

The greatest thing about being a teacher is that we are not only making brilliant students; we are helping to form outstanding citizens and individuals. I believe that when a student understands and believes in their own self worth, anything can be learned.

“Come prepared to learn and you will learn. Come prepared to grow and you will grow. Come prepared to work together and you will find no boundaries to what you can achieve.”
